What We Write About

Gifts by Leaf covers gift ideas for a named recipient and a date on the calendar, plus everything that turns an idea into something handed over: jar gifts and baskets, boxes, wrapping, packaging, printable tags and cards. Every article answers a question someone has with scissors already in hand — what goes in it, how long it takes, what to write.

How an Article Is Made

  • The gift is assembled first. If it has not been made and given, it does not go in.
  • Every basket, jar or box names its contents item by item and gives a count.
  • Assembly time is stated, including drying, setting and baking time.
  • Printables and cut files are printed or cut before they are recommended, and the licence — personal or commercial — is stated.
  • Where gifts usually fail — a jar that looks empty, a tag that printed soft, a set that ran out before the last person — the article names the problem and the fix.
  • Images are made for the article. We do not reuse other people’s photos of their gifts.
  • Prices are not quoted. Cost is described in words, because what a shop charges today is not what it charges next month.

Products We Mention

A product appears only when it closes something the free route leaves open: a printable set that saves an evening of hunting, a cut file that comes in the size you actually need, a licence that lets you make the gift for a school fair. We check that other buyers have been happy with it first. We do not accept payment for placement.

Keeping Things Current
